They simply type in your branch's website address and enter the log in and password you created for them. They are able to access their consolidated report that includes their trading positions, positions held at the mutual fund or variable product sponsor, as well as any outside assets (such as their house, car or boat) that you've entered for them. The report is updated every two hours throughout the day and can include cost basis information, buy/sell history and dividend/capital gain history.
